Premises Liability

Premises liability is a term used to describe the legal responsibility that a landowner and occupiers of a property have for injuries and accidents that occur on their property.  If you have reason to believe the negligence of a property owner has contributed to an injury you have sustained, then speaking to one of our experienced attorneys should be a priority.  If you answer “yes” to any of the following questions you might be eligible to file a claim.

  • Were you injured due to inadequate security?  In order to file a liability claim you must have been injured because the owner of your property failed to provide inadequate security for you and your family.
  • Were you injured because of someone’s negligence?  A successful premises liability lawsuit involves proving you were injured due to negligence on the part of the building owner or management.
  • Do you have proof that your premises liability injury was caused by negligence?  It is essential in a premises liability lawsuit that you are able to prove that you were injured due to the building owner or managements negligence.

If you have police records, photographs, witness statements, or other evidence it should be kept for when you file.  It will be used to help justify your claim.
